General terms and conditions of use
Magnetic fields: keep your watch away from magnetic fields which could disturb its function such as loudspeakers, refrigerators, television sets, radio alarms. We recommend that you maintain a distance of at least 5 cm between this type of device and your watch..
Temperatures: avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (in excess of 60°C / 140°F or below 0°C / 32°F), to sources of intense heat or to abrupt changes of temperature.
Water-resistance: our watches are water-resistant to 5 ATM or 50 meters. Nevertheless, the water-resistance can change as a result of ageing of the o-rings. We therefore recommend that you have the water-resistance tested once per year. When the watch comes into contact with water, check carefully that the crown is pressed against the case and do not manipulate the push-buttons of the chronograph in order to prevent water from penetrating into the mechanism. Always rinse your watch under soft water after swimming in the sea.
Chemical products: avoid contact with chemical products which could damage the case, the bracelet and the o-rings, such as solvents, detergents, perfume, cosmetic products...
Shock: avoid violent shock, dropping as well as rubbing on abrasive, hard or rough surfaces which could cause the appearance and correct functioning of your watch to deteriorate.
Leather and alligator straps: as leather is a permeable material, it is important to avoid all contact with water, humidity, greasy substances and cosmetic products. Its color will acquire a patina over time; whilst this is normal, we nevertheless advise you to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun so as not to alter its color.
Cleaning: first of all check the water-resistance (see above). Clean your watch regularly using a toothbrush with soft bristles and slightly soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth. If your watch has a leather strap, consult the instructions specified in this section.
